Designed to teach you how to successfully use MyStatLab to its maximum effectiveness, this approach has you work hands-on through the program and then assesses your knowledge at the end.
MTTC 102 MyStatLab – Beginning This course is designed to give you an overview of MyStatLab from a student's perspective, as well as instruction in setting up your first MyStatLab course. In addition, you will learn about the main components of the MyStatLab management system, along with basic customization techniques. PREREQUISITE: Familiarity with Windows or Mac operating system, and internet browser. No prior knowledge or experience with MyStatLab required.
MTTC 202 MyStatLab – Intermediate This course will focus on teaching strategies using MyStatLab. In particular, you will learn how to use and customize homework assignments, tests, and the gradebook, and manage multiple sections of a course. PREREQUISITE: MTTC 101 or MTTC 102 or equivalent.
MTTC 302 MyStatLab – Advanced This course will focus on further customization in MyStatLab. In particular, you will learn how to customize the learning environment, add customized content, utilize communication tools, and efficiently manage your course. PREREQUISITES: MTTC 202 or equivalent. One or more terms of teaching experience with MyStatLab is preferred.
MTTC 204 Custom Question Builder – Introduction This course will introduce participants to the Custom Question Builder (CQB). This innovative tool is available in MyMathTest, MathXL, MyStatLab, and MyStatLab, and allows you to create your own custom exercises for use in homework assignments, quizzes, or tests. You will also have the ability to copy and edit publisher questions from other textbooks. PREREQUISITE: MTTC 200 or MTTC 201 or MTTC 202 or equivalent. One or more terms of experience teaching with MyMathTest, MathXL, MyStatLab, or MyStatLab is preferred.
MTTC 304 Custom Question Builder – Advanced This course will show you more tools to use to create custom exercises in the Custom Question Builder (CQB), such as adding number lines, graphs, pie charts, bar charts, and graphics. In addition, you will learn how to write more complex algorithms to use in your custom exercise. PREREQUISITE: MTTC 204 or equivalent.

Strategies for Using MyStatLab with StatCrunch
|
This session will introduce participants to an over view of the many features and uses of MyStatLab and StatCrunch from both the educator and student perspective. To be discussed will be how MyStatLab and StatCrunch can be utilized in a statistics course. The use of StatCrunch will be demonstrated both from within a course and at www.statcrunch.com.
Exact topics will vary depending on textbooks of the participants, but could include also include Statdisk, Activstats, Essay questions, Stat applets, and the Discussion board. This session is for anyone teaching statistics regardless of teaching format.

Custom Question Builder - Getting Started
|
This session will introduce participants to the Custom Question Builder. Instructors will also have the ability to copy and edit sample custom exercises.

Custom Question Builder - Beyond the Basics
|
This workshop will show participants more tools to use to create custom questions in the Custom Question Builder. Topics can include creating more complex algorithmic values, adding number lines or graphs, adding pie charts or bar charts, or adding figures to the custom question.
Registration is limited to 10 participants in order to optimize the session experience.
PREREQUISITES: Participants should know how to create or copy a custom question, edit the question, and add the question to an assignment. Participants should also know how to create static or algorithmic questions, with short answer, essay, or multiple-choice student interactions.

TestGen Introduction
|
This introductory workshop is designed to give participants an overview of TestGen, as well as instruction in creating their first TestGen test. In addition, participants will learn about the different formats available for presenting tests to their students. This strategy session is available on request, as it is not offered regularly.
